The delivery of safety, health and even environmental regulatory content is challenging for most trainers. Sessions such as the OSHA 10 hour and 30 hour outreach courses require the trainer to be dynamic and innovative to hold the attention of the students.
The use of game activities is quickly being realized as an excellent way to wholly engage the student. The creation of a fun, entertaining and stress-free atmosphere allows the student to fully participate while readily absorbing the learning objectives. An engaged student that is using his/her mind and body during the learning process yields a greater depth of retained information.
This fun and entertaining session will cover the critical principles of game-based learning and game design. Those attending will be asked to participate or “play” several games to illustrate the application of using games. Participants will walk away with valuable information that can be immediately incorporated into their company safety training sessions. Gaming activities are now used for safety training, new employee orientation, committee meetings, corporate annual meetings and other activities where fun learning is desired.
