CSC offers Spanish Language Safety Training

Construction Safety Council understands the primary language of today's workforce may not be English. Yet if you only offer safety training in English, you may be out of compliance and, in some cases, those violations can be cited as serious, which carry stiffer penalties. OSHA training requires “employee training... must be presented in a manner that employees can understand.” It’s not enough to just send your Spanish language workers to a class so you can check a box. A safe worksite means all employees, regardless of their primary language, understand the risks, hazards and steps that can be taken to reduce and/or elimate or them. That's why the Construction Safety Council offers several safety training classes both in English and in Spanish.

The Spanish language safety courses are typically offered on-demand:

  • Fall Protection
  • OSHA 10 Hour
  • ATSSA Flagger/Workzone Safety
  • Scaffold User/Erector Safety (City of Chicago approved)
  • Confined Space Entry
  • American Heart Assocation First Aid/CPR/AED

To find any these courses, click here and search for Spanish in the Category search box at the top of the screen.

Testimonials

I didn’t know how much I didn’t know about trenches.

Dennis Zarembka
Planner/WAC, The Dow Chemical Company

I appreciate how he involved everyone in the class and took time to learn their names. He related the topics to real work sites people deal with everyday.
