IPAF Mobile Elevated Work Platform Operator Training (PAL Card)

IPAF Mobile Elevated Work Platform Operator Training is for operators to learn to prepare and safely operate various types of MEWPs.

NOTE:  This class has very limited capacity. A Maximum of 6 (six) students are allowed. No exceptions.

Powered access is the safest way to carry out temporary work at height. Powered access refers to equipment that is designed to lift personnel, tools and materials to work safely at height. One of the most common types of powered access equipment is a Mobile Elevating Work Platforms or MEWPs. MEWPs are sometimes referred to as aerial work platforms, cherry pickers, scissor lifts, booms, mast lifts etc and are categorised by type. 

IPAF training can only be conducted from an IPAF-approved training center. Construction Safety Council is an IPAF-approved training center.

Successful trainees receive a PAL Card (Powered Access Licence) which is accepted around the world as proof of safety and competency when operating the relevant powered access equipment.

This course includes classroom instruction and hands-on practical experience.  

Target Audience:  Construction Laborers, and anyone managing or working as a traffic flagger.

Prerequisites:   Must have a current Illinois State Driver’s License or State issued ID card

Minimum Class Size:   3

Maximum Class Size:  15

Course Length:   4 hours
