The OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health course is similar to the 10-hour course in terms of topics, but is designed to provide a greater depth and variety of than what is covered in the 10 hour course. The 30-hour course provides an introduction to OSHA, including workers' rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint. It also provides an overview of hazards a worker may encounter on a job site. OSHA 30 Hr is a 'Hazards' course, with training emphasizing hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, rather than OSHA standards.
This course is taught by OSHA-authorized instructors.
This course runs two consecutive weeks on TUESDAY and THURSDAY, only the FIRST of the four session dates is listed on the training calendar
NOTE: You do NOT need to complete the 10 hour course prior to taking the 30 hour course.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- State work rights
- Identify common worksite hazards
- Contact OSHA to file a complaint
Target Audience: Workers who have some safety responsibility on the jobsite, Supervisors, or those who would like a more thorough understanding of the topics contained in the 10 hour course.
